Why does windows media player detect a 6144 KBPS song is 515 KBPS?

I remastered a song and exported it as an uncompressed wav. I checked the Bitrate and it said 6144 on Windows Explorer. I put it to play on Windows Media and it detected it as 515 KBPS and it sounds really choppy. Only VLC, Quicktime, iTunes and others can play it.
