After the Stomach Flu what is best to eat? 3 Days?
Ugh I can sympathize with you...our family had that about 2 wks ago. We found that it was best to eat blander foods to help our stomachs get back to normal. Lots of ppl say to go by the BRAT diet, which is bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. Along with those, you can also eat yogurt, plain baked potato, a bagel, English muffin...basically, foods that are white in color and easy on the stomach. Another general rule of thumb is, if you're feeling hungry, you're over the worst of it and it's probably safe to eat ALMOST what you eat normally; just take it slowly and don't overdo it. I overdid it--I felt so much better 2 days later that I was hungry for McDonald's...LOL after I ate my burger and fries I had an awful stomach ache and felt almost like throwing up again! (I didn't, thankfully.) So yeah, don't go for Mickey D's...just ease yourself back into normal eating. Hope you feel better soon!
